Fire Safety Service
The Service de sécurité incendie de Vaudreuil-Dorion operates three stations - Forbes and De Lotbinière are staffed 24/7, while Séguin is an unstaffed auxiliary station. The department also covers Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac, L'Île-Cadieux, and Pointe-des-Cascades under mutual agreements, and handles roughly 1,800 calls a year.

Non-emergency municipal issues
For urgent but non-life-threatening municipal issues - a water main break, a sewer backup, a downed tree blocking a road - call the City's 3-1-1 line rather than 911.
Emergency preparedness
The City maintains a civil-emergency mobilization plan covering floods, prolonged power outages, windstorms, earthquakes, snow/ice storms, and major fires - including infrastructure evaluation, an emergency phone line, and coordinated fire department deployment. Residents can register for the City's emergency alert list to receive notifications directly.
At the regional level, the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges coordinates fire and civil-safety planning across its 23 member municipalities - roughly 17 local fire services and 500 firefighters - plus a shared 911 telecommunications network.
