Daycare & Childcare Services in Vaudreuil-Dorion

Quebec's old "La Place 0-5" portal was retired on October 16, 2025 and replaced by the Portail d'inscription aux services de garde. Parents log in with a government account, create a family file, and register a child (only after birth, not before), then list as many preferred CPEs or subsidized daycares as they want and see their approximate rank on each waitlist.

Ranking is no longer strictly first-come-first-served - it's now based on the desired start date you select. Automatic priority goes first to children who meet both sibling and staff-child criteria, then staff children, then siblings already at the facility, then children not yet enrolled anywhere, with everyone else after that. Facilities can also reserve up to half their spots for categories like special needs, socioeconomic precarity, children of a specific employer's staff, or residents of a specific municipality.

CPEs (Centres de la petite enfance) are non-profit, parent-board-run childcare centres. Two are located in Vaudreuil-Dorion:

Vaudreuil-Dorion falls under the Secteur Vaudreuil BC, which coordinates 119 recognized home-daycare providers across Vaudreuil-Dorion, Pincourt, and Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot.

The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion's own website has no dedicated childcare/daycare page as of this research - for referrals, the City's 311 line or citizen portal is the best starting point. The regional health authority (Santé Québec Montérégie-Ouest) may also run early-childhood/new-parent programs through the local CLSC, but this guide could not directly confirm a specific program name or process - check with the CLSC directly.
