Garbage, Recycling & Organics Collection
Bin colours, collection rhythm, large items, and the écocentre.
Vaudreuil-Dorion uses a three-bin, colour-coded collection system, plus scheduled pickups for yard waste, branches, and large items, and a regional écocentre for everything else.
Bin colours
Blue bin - recyclables. Brown bin - organics (food scraps, compostables). Grey bin - household waste that doesn't belong in the other two.
Collection rhythm
As of 2026, household garbage and recyclables are generally collected every two weeks, while organics are collected weekly from mid-April to mid-November and every two weeks the rest of the year. Yard waste is collected about five times a year, branches about seven times a year, and large items once a month by sector.
Exact collection days vary by street/sector - use the City's address-lookup tool for your specific calendar rather than relying on a general schedule.

Large item pickup
Bulky items - mattresses, upholstered furniture, sinks, toilets, bathtubs - are collected monthly. You can place items curbside up to 5 days before your collection date, but they must be out by 7 a.m. on collection day.
Écocentre Vaudreuil-Soulanges
Construction debris, renovation waste, and other materials that don't belong curbside can be dropped off at the regional écocentre. MRC Vaudreuil-Soulanges residents get 12 m³ free per year, then pay $25/m³ beyond that.
Fall/winter hours (January 1 – March 31, and December): Friday 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Saturday–Sunday 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Confirm current hours before visiting, since seasonal hours change.
